Main floor footprint = 2,418.1 SF (used to estimate exterior perimeter).
Upper floor = 1,924.6 SF (used for ceilings / openings).
Living area with double height = 400 SF (20′ ceiling)
Geometry & quantity rules
- Main floor footprint treated approximately as a square to estimate perimeter. This gives an exterior perimeter ≈ 196.7 ft without garage and exterior wall area for two floors (10′ each) ≈ 3,933.9 SF. (without garage)
- Interior partitions estimated by rule-of-thumb: 10 linear ft of interior wall per 100 SF of conditioned area
- Double-height living area adds extra wall area equal to its perimeter × extra 10 ft of height (estimated additional wall area ≈ 800 SF).
